In the powertools utilities there is a package: imwheel-0.9.6-7.i386.rpm
Install it, and it will make your wheel work like you expect.

I finally installed rawhide last week (Raw Hide 19991128) and I noticed
three problems.
The helvetica fonts are very big.
If I hold down a key it repeats it very slowly. It repeats it about 4
times each second. It is normally much faster.
