my guess is that you're missing the RPM for kon2.
It would be nice if missing an RPM that's

I echo %{buildsmp}, it shows the value to be 1.
I'm sure there's something simple that I've screwed up, but I just don't
understand the magic behind the scenes in rpmbuild.

Funny. Some of us edit that file for our own purposes and change what's in
'Base'. "No way" seems rather extreme.

(On a co-located server, we don't need mouseconfig.)

Where would I find documentation on anaconda? I need to do kickstart network

Especially since the ISC version is now better than pump. I threw away pump
and am using the ISC version because pump wouldn't work at all with my

as lacking the budget to pay for it. I work on the open source code that I
have the skills to work on, but unfortunately I also need some of the stuff

had gotten as popular as windows, we'd be in a lot of trouble today.
BTW, I also don't understand your comment about Micro$oft. One of the
complaints about microsoft is that they *don't* design in security! If

rebuilt the dhcp srpm to include dhcpd and it now works fine.

What RPMs do I need to upgrade to make this warning go away?

Is there a reasonable commandline interface which will do what printtool does?
In particular, I'd like to fill the /var/spool/lpd/lp directory with
reasonable files from a script.

I need to find out how I can get pump to configure some files in addition to
the ones it already does. I'm trying to setup freeswan and it needs to have
the correct address and default router in /etc/ipsec.conf and /etc/ipsec.secrets.

When I worked at Symbolics, we referred to this as "trading all the boring old
bugs in for exciting new ones."
One can only hope that once the most exciting of the new bugs are fixed that
we'll be ahead of where we were with the old software.

So in short, there's a rather surprising requirement that any RPM which
provides "kernel" needs to have the same version number as the RPM by that
name.
