Have RH 7.0 up and running pretty good with a
WinModem working just fine. I have a sound board built into the mother
board using AC 97(think that is right) sound drivers.. and VIA 86cxxx sound
chip.
The CD player worked right from the beginning with
no hitches but the mp3 player didn't work
haven't figured out how to boot from cd. I changed the bios settings like
instructions say but it wont boot from cd.
I will have to set on hold for who knows how long tomorrow with tech support
and get that problem resolved. maybe after that it will load. Right now it
just puts F2R: on the scre
No small partition at head of the drive. I am trying to do a fresh install.
It can't get past the initial bootup from the floppy.

After booting up "x" number of times, the boot loader says that maximum
number of mountings has been exceeded and it must do a file system
check. This can take a long time. What file do I edit to change the
number of "bootings" I can do be fore the check if forced??

Help, I can't access my floppy . when Linux boots up I see a line that
says device fd0 is 1.44. However I can't access the floppy to format,
