come with Linux on CDROM includeding Red Hat Linux 7 Bible, Red Hat
Linux Unleashed, Special Edition Using Linux, etc.Maximum Linux Security
is an excellent book for security purposes. If you are a student, check

Hi Bill,
I'm a novice at Linux so I don't have your answer but I would be interested
in how to make my gateway machine dial the net when one of the machines on
my network requests it.
Thanks,

Anyway, back to Mandrake, everything went fine up
to a point, that is VMware
You need to be sure the user you install VMware under has access rights
to the disk Win 95 is installed on. You then run the configuration program
and select a "raw" disk partition. This will map the virtual machine to a
physical drive in the machine. The manual is very helpful for walking you
Did you try mapping lpt1 to /dev/parport0 and your modem to /dev/modem?

but I still get wierd behavior. The oddest is my Licq setup. If I start it

I get the same problem with Gnome as well. It simply freezes and I can't do
a thing. No rhyme or reason to it since I am usually doing something
different each time. I gave up and went to KDE. Much easier to use.
