Yes -- there is a virtual ip alias setup and set to mail.foo.com

Here's the exact path for the virtual pop daemon:

I've got virtual email setup under RH6.1 (using linuxconf).
I can send mail to the virtual domain. It goes into the virtual domain user mail and
I can see the message there.
The inetd.conf file is setup with the /vpop3d daemon in the pop-3 entry.
I can't access and read the email with the pop3
You need to find the pop-3 entery in your inetd.conf and uncomment it. Then
you need to replace the /usr/sbin/tcpd ipop3d string with the location of
your virtual mail pop-3. ( I forget the exact name but you can find our by
using linuxconf and looking at the help item for virtual email domains --
Why under RH6.1 why would my scripts fail to execute?
rhmask is installed on my system.
rhmask-- bash can't find 2nd argument.
For example, I have scripts Configure and test.sh located in the /tmp
directory.
None of the following work:
/tmp/Configure

I'm having 4 continuing problems with my RH6.1 install.
1. named does not automatically execute on reboot. I have to do this manually
/usr/sbin/named not a big deal and I could tie this into a script but isn't
this supposed to start automatically under RH6.1?
2. I can't access my pop3 servers.
I've upgraded to RH6.1 --- telnet now just hangs --
I can get the following response
Red Hat Linux release 6.1 (Cartman)
Kernel 2.2.12-20 on an i686
but no log in prompt.
What do I need to do to get this working?
I can ftp to the server and the httpd server works fine -- the problem seems o
I found it -- fortunately I had archived it.

Linuxconf has the ability to setup virtual email domains . Best place to
start is read the help screen under linuxconf virtual email domains. It has
step by step how to do it.
I've been using it for almost a year now -- works great.

Does anyone know where or how I can recreate named.ca or get a copy of
this file without reinstalling.
I inadvertently deleted this from /var/named directory and my DNS
apparently won't operate correctly without it.
Thanks

I can't retrieve email from my virtual email domain.
This has been working fine for 8 or so months before the upgrade.

I'm using RH 6.1 and every so often find that a daemon or other
application won't run due to a segmentation fault.
I can find no info on what this might be -- I'm finding this error in
the log files, e.g., in the error_log for httpd for the most recent one.
Any ideas will be appreciated. This is
I have a server connected to a network which is primarily for email and

It's been working fine since July --absolutely zero problems. It has 2

As Kevin describes below, this is the same as my situation. I had been using

I installed RH 6.1 a week or so ago. I have a virus detection program in my bios
setup. It
detects a virus in the masterboot record. I can get by this and boot linux and
everything
works fine in Linux.
How do I remove this virus -- it's a nasty one in that I can't boot NT (dual boot
system)
Is anyone out there using Cox Cable @home? I need help with setup for my
cable modem. Can't get the dhcp and routing to work. Am using RH 6.1.
Thanks
