when the server(Host A) was up, my songs
began back from the place they had paused...
hope this could clearify that it isn't necessary to do a hard boot on the
client machine(Host B)..

mrtg simply creates html files with refresh rate=300s i.e. 5minutes.. if you

i tried your problem upon my pc running rh 7.3. and both the options worked..
option 1:
mount /mnt/floppy
it worked..
option 2:
then i went for manual mount,
mount -t vfat /dev/fd0 /mn t/floppy
even this worked.. the floppy i used was the rescue disk created by win98..
the /etc/filesy

look at the useradd -g and -G options..
anyone, could figure the same problem where the criteria is that the user
account is already created.. i just want a present user to be member of a
particular present group.. how do we do that ?

There could be two options, one to re-install and the other without
reinstalling.
Option Reinstall:
Reinstall the system and define GRUB/LILO to be installed on the MBR inste
refer to the ldp,, it has a book for "Linux from Scratch"
