Phew! that's a relief... thanks gentlemen. All that kludgy (pretty though
it is) grafic was driving me crazy. Seems I'm happy for the moment with
bash, vim and pine.

Hello... As a Linux newbie having gotten used to using the console, I'd
like to continue booting straight to the shell as opposed to now
in Xwindows
(Gnome) after my installing rh7.3
How do I turn off booting to Xwindows? I've an old slow machine so
command line suits me better.
