Internal Modem/ Won't hangup

Hi, I've been using an external modem for some time now, using the (I guess 'standard') PPP scripts (ppp-on, ppp-on-dialer, etc.) and things have been working fairly well. The biggest issue is that at times, when the PPP connection is killed, the modem won't hang up. PPP is down, but the OH led
