I've successfully run the FP extensions on 2.0. I don't recall any

Looking at a later message in this thread, refering to web editors,
you can also look at HPbuilder from IBM i think.
It has a customized wine package under which it run.
It is wysiwyg. It generates valid but inifficient code.

Hi,
I have been trying to install frontpage extensions onto a server running
apache 1.3.17, and I get to the make stage, and get the following messages;
http_request.c: In function 'get_path_info':
http_request.c:191: structure has no member named 'execfilename'
http_request.
I haven't received it since 12-6.
Check your mailer...do you have it set to delete messages from the
server when you download them?

First of all, I was able to get the FrontPage Server Extensions installed

noticed that the extensions will dump the ScriptAlias for the root web into
the SSL section of httpd.conf. You have to move it out to the main

You should not have to reinstall linux.
I setup FP once. If I recall correctly it was just a shell script that
installed it. You should be able to easily deinstall all files by
following the script.

Dear Listers,
Being a newbie I probably shouldn't have tried to install the FP extension
without more closely studying the install package, but I did, and there it
is, a smoking mess. The FP install script overwrote the original Apache
httpd daemon (the vers. that comes on the RH 6.2 cd) and has
You have a version mismatch between your devel libs and the apache I
assume. The module interfaces don't match. Make sure you are using the
same version across the board when you recompile.

Hi Rita,
you can put several IP Numbers to one physical Ethernet Card.
For Example:
if your first Adress is 192.168.0.1
1.st alias ifconfig eth0:0 192.168.0.2
2.nd alias ifconfig eth0:1 192.168.0.3
and so on.
That´s all :-)
bye,
Wolfgang

I am having difficulty getting MS Frontpage Extensions to work with Apache
Virtual hosts. There is a mention in httpd.conf that server machine must
accept IP packets for multiple addresses and this is accomplished with the
ifconfig alias flag or through kernel patches like VIF. Does anyone know
