What model Thinkpad do you have? My first RH8 install on a Dell didn't seem to find it but my Toshiba did. When you unplug it and plug it back in does RH send a familiar beep? If so, immediately check your /var/log/messages file, shift-g to the end and see if it gives you any info. On Thu,

What works for me: Go to http://www.fcc.gov/oet/fccid/ and punch in the FCC ID printed on the 3com card. Look for a photograph of the internal chipset. If possible try to get the exact chip number off the photograph. Search google for the chip number and RH 8 or something like that. Also I
