I have actually built a "AND" squelch circuit for a Micor because the squelch
tail was to long with PL.
However, in this case we like to turn PL off at times and I think adding the
caps will fix the problem.
Anyway I will let the group know how this works out after next time I go to the

$98 to have them set up as a generic repeater is a bit high, there isn't much
to it, fire up the software, change to repeater mode, tell the software it's
a
generic repeater, follow the screens in the software, program the radio's.
The software takes care of the accessory pin configuration,

I attended a local repeater coordination meeting WPRC in Butler Pa this past
weekend.
I was amazed at the amount of argument and bickering the board members did,
and seemed to go out of their way to make life difficult for a fellow from a
repeater group who travelled several hours to be there. H
Hi Matt,
Turn the RF Output Power down so the amplifier doesn't get hot and
burn up. And you might consider a quality muffin fan moving air over
the back of the transmit radio (amplifier section). Power output
is adjusted in software at the time of programming.
Set the transmit time out tim
Now the 'rest of the story'. WPRC does not accept modifications of
coordination from anyone but the holder of the coordination. That
includes in writing or in person. Would YOU want someone else changing
YOUR coordination? The transfer of the coordination in question was just
requested by the holde
Yeah, as the former 2 meter and at one time 6 meter coordinator for NARCC
here in norther california, I know what you mean about folks wanting
"instant satisfaction". Stuff takes time! We are volunteers who have actual
lives other than our day jobs and coordinating. Paperwork, research, phone

I have a Motorola GTX900 that is refusing to program. It does not want to
communicate with either of my 2 PC's in DOS mode. So far have tried RSS 1, 2,
and Lab R01. Nothing, keep getting Error#2 no communication. Cable/PC is
working since I pulled the GTX off and read/wrote my Maxtrac and GM300
Sounds like someone may have used a newer version of RSS than yours
they are not backward compatible... That is the only guess I would have...

Mobile or Portable? The portable needs to be powered, if so.
More than likely it has been programmed with a newer RSS as Mike said.

I would expect that even an older version would still
read the radio and just come up with a "model not
found" error if it was too old.
Did this radio EVER get programmed properly at your
house?
The programming line doesn't go too far into the
radio. You could try grounding the programming line,
As he stated later on, his cable worked with a MaxTrac
and a GM300. Both of these are mobiles, so I think
it's safe to assume that his GTX is a mobile as well
as they all use the same RJ45 programming cable.

Hi
Still looking for a cheap NHRC controller.
NHRC 3 or 4 and the person selling it would post to
the UK. I did get offered one, replied but heard nothing back.
Thanks
Steve

There is a place in the programming where you can make
the TA audio "flat". I will try to find where it is in
the programming, and let you know here.
