I want to put a radio in a jeep
the problem is the jeep runs 24 v and as you know radios run 12v
Is there a device that will drop 24v down to 12 vdv ? I know I could use a
droping resistor but I can see it making a lot of heat
if I
when I have run Cat 5e I have run it in conduit ( out side conduit , it screws
together) and never had a problem .. but then again there was no UHF ant
there eather
a little more $$ but it keepts at cat5e safe from the sun/rain/snow/hail ..

PL incode will be all the time , the PL disable is the PL DECODE what the

I think you have a problem with the ant. I don't see why you would lose so
much power out of the duplexer when you add the 2nd set of dipoles ..

if you are loosing 3db in the duplexer then thay are out of wack but you said
thay where tuned ..
2 there is STILL a problem in the coax
3 there could be a problem in the ant connectors
check the specks on the duplexer when you got it tuned it should show you
how much loss and again CHECK

he needs is a couple of watts to just give them enough sig in the mill
for them to RX better ..
never know untill you play and learn ! .. and 220 is a fun band to

We use a bridge rec and an resistor for bat back up ..
as skopp notes the resistor is for current limitting .. so the PS does
not take a jolt if the battas are low
