Sorry, it's been like 18 years since I had any contact with radio stuff (back
in my days as WP4MPS) now I'm back at the commercial level and I see I've had a
bad start (yeez)
You can use the LMR400 for your station at the house - so all is not lost.
The cables with a foil/braid combination tend to be problematic in duplex
service. Best to avoid them, even though some have gotten away with it.
Usually, after a short period of time, you'll start experiencing desense.
