Good Morning!
We have been moving right along with Rivendell (2.01) but when adding a few
computers to the server, the following happens:
RD#1 - Our server and main playout machine runs flawlessly. By weeks end,
we'll be moving to a NAS and hopefully may clear up some of the permission

Since I don't have a CentOS ( RedHat ) machine, I can't give you
a specific line anywhere, but I can surmise that it's triggered by
a cron job.

Hey Rob,
How do we update to the current schema? It is not a new installation per

running 2.0.1 on RD#1 for about 3 months. This message re RDAdmin occurred

If I understand right, RD#1 has the database and one Rivendell
installation, while RD#2 has az newly built Rivendell installation and
uses the database on RD#1.
With RD#2 off line, can you run rdadmin successfully on RD#1? If so, I

Rob,
Yes and yes...RD#1 has the db and Rivendell 2.0.1 running. RD#2 also has
Rivendell 2.0.1 and utilizes the db from RD#1. Everything is mounted
correctly, I believe (/var/snd, etc.). In RD#2, I can see all of RD#1's
music files, etc.
I've had RD#2 shut down for the last few days and still c

What happens if you type: mysql -uroot -pwhatever Riven
Rob,
1. I get into MYSQL no problem, prompt, etc. with mysql- u -p mysql
Rivendell.
2. I have a sql backup already from last week.
3. How do I rename the database (then run rdadmin)? I'm a bit confused
with that step. Rename the db in mysql or elsewhere?

You'll have to shut down the mysql server, then find the directory where
mysql stores its databases (on Debian it's /var
There are a number of things in the RDADMIN screens that seem to be

You may not need all the things we do, but the scripts are tolerably

It turned out I had forgotten to give the --libexecdir=/var/www/rd-bin
