Rob, we think we are dealing with a bug here. When the even in rdlogmanager create/edit events is up, you choose import->Select from MUSIC (for instance) you then get two choices just below: First cart has a [PLAY/SEQUE] transition. Imported carts have a [PLAY/SEQUE] transition. In 3.x those

Thanks David, I'll give that a go. I changed the default transition for something, but can't remember off the top of my head is it was for RDairplay, RDlogmanager or something else. Today I've installed Riv 2.19 and I can confirm, as Drew already said, it's not an issue with version 2 Andy

Hey Folks, tl;dr: check the default transition types in RDAirPlay and RDLogEdit. On Thu, 2020-03-05 at 08:20 +, Andy Cooper wrote: > Ok, It's a new day now here in the UK, so I'll be back at trying to get > Rivendell working as a server and client setup this afternoon. > > I agree entirely

Ok, It's a new day now here in the UK, so I'll be back at trying to get Rivendell working as a server and client setup this afternoon. I agree entirely with Chuck. I'm also trying to make every cart have a segue transition to keep things nice and tight on air. But with Rivendell v3 that

I am in programming and definitely not an IT pro, but have never understood why there is a need for the Play vs Segue issue. From the get-go, I set our system up as Segue only. If no segue markers are set, the cart acts as if it were assigned as Play--even in an all-Segue setup. With this

I think I'm going to try installing v2 of Rivendell rather than v3 and see if that solves my problem with the event creation. Having done a bit of online research, it seems most people are still using v2 and some say v3 is a bit unstable.

Andy, if you will come into irc and look for me (zotz) I will try and help you set up that hack workaround I am talking about. Like I say, I am not sure I would go into production with it, but you could test it. your call. irc.freenode.net channel #rivendell all the best, drew On Wed, Mar

[RDD] How do I create an event with one music cart and a segue transition?

2020-03-04 Thread Andy Cooper
Following my post yesterday, I'm still having trouble creating events they way I want them in RDlogmanager. All I want is an event that selects a random audio cart and puts it in a clock with a segue transition. The problem is I can't set the transition type for the first cart in an event if it's
