Whow, cool!
What an overdue idea, we should have had that since years. ;-)

I may reach more people here who compile their own and are geek enough to have
big disks, so I dare a crosspost from my yesterday's user list posting.

The menus should all be voiced from the early days on (except for the debug
menu), definitely including the yes/no choices.
Am I missing something, did something got lost while I'm out?

I've successfully used a digicam for debugging in such cases, like error
messages scrolling by too fast.

I have probably 20 (all without disk). Perhaps we can spread them to the
"spoiled" young developers, who have never seen a device with less than a VGA
size true color screen. ;-)

Looks like read sophisticated extra hardware. ;-)
BTW, the page is continuously reloading, at least for me.

Heh, sorry for not following this in detail. I'd be interested if and how much
this saves on code size vs. the extra tables. Anything which helps to get the
critical Archos footprint smaller is a great help.

The "first" directory walker exists in firmware/dir.c, the rmdir() function.
However, it is very small and recurses.

I think this was rather meant as a friendly wink from Linus.
Personally, I much appreciate your findings, keep going! \o/

What happened to our buffer, who sliced that chunk away?
I'm not really following latest developments, was it unicode, was it
graphical wps, or what?

Rombox works, I have a pretty recent one running on my RecV1. You have to
use Bootbox, though. Look in the daily builds, they should contain it, too.

Haha, I just envision how odd it would be if my amp would start turning

Out of the box, Rockbox doesn't support multiple partitions. Only that debug
screen shows them.

I like it, and don't think dB is too technical for end users. Even my car
stereo displays in dB when I turn the knob.
I think it's enough to go down to -99dB, to avoid a 3 digit display.
The side effect

Oops, sorry then.
This is not for Archos? (See how the overview on my end degrades)

Not only the default was changed, also the ascii name was changed, which
breaks compatibility to existing .cfg files. :-(
