Okay, grabbed the latest mkboot.c and that worked ... now when I
re-scramble the .bin I created it comes out at 4MB, is that right? I
would have thought it'd compact back to a ~2MB firmware file?

Not to start any kind of flame war, but I suppose the thought it the
ipod being "more advanced" is a relative point of view. The iRiver H300
series has an FM tuner, can play back video, play many more music
formats than the iPod, internal or external microphone/line-in
capability, etc. All long
it's a 1.8" dual platter drive, I imagine google'ing for such a thing
would be easy enough? I've heard they're as big as 80GB but don't know
any recent pricing.
