Hi, all the sudden we are hitting the same problem on sagemath.org: 20459 sage 16 0 11.2g 7.2g 1660 S2 92.7 81:52.22 python i.e. we are using 11.2g virtual memory where we used to use a lot less. Maybe it is time to do some poking around there :) Cheers, Michael

It is indeed weird! I'm not really sure what's going on. I think the simplest thing to do right now is just to run the notebook on a different machine, since I want to reserve this machine for my research anyway. (For the record, I was running 64 bit Ubuntu.) Thanks all, JV

That seems very strange to me. I keep several sage servers going all the time, with students using some of them, and I've never had that problem. Sometimes when I have 10-15 students and they all open a lot of worksheets it creeps up, but not what you are describing. Usually its about 20-50 Mb
