On some systems you need to use the Netbios name within UNC and on some
other systems it only works when using the IP address. Try both..

Does SA start after that or not?
Did you get any error during the install?
Any errors in the install.log file?

Dirk,
Ever since I upgraded to SA 3.3.1138 I have received a message whenever I
start servers alive as below.
ActiveX component can't creat object( 429) on line 0
Is this anything to worry about and how do I fix this?
Regards
Paul

I have had this happen twice with older versions but just rebooted and it
seemed to work fine againmake sure you look at the lg*.log files. Both
times it happened to me the logfile was huge...several gig if I remember
correctly. Haven't had it happen lately.

In v3.x the max value is 2147483647 (max of what a LONG can be)
In v4 (after I did an update :-)) it won't be an issue anymore.

I think the number (26) is too big for the data type we're using.
Currently no fix for this...

I am running SA 3.3.1135 and I have a number of perfmon checks running
against different servers, and counters, which I have setup without a
problem.
I am currently trying to set up a check to monitor a perfmon counter,
