I am missing something here, but if you are running SA as a service, you should
be able to install the free 10 user version of SA on another pc or server in the
same LAN or WAN backbone, and be able to monitor the SA service itself, just as
you would any other NT service
least my service with AT&T
doesn't...they only charge for text messaging that originates at a cell
phone, or via their web interface, online...so it may not be as expensive as you
fear...

your gateway machine is the server...you only have
to open one port in the firewall, and you can configure NT authentication on
Radmin, so it is fairly secure. It uses 128 bit encryption, and I haven't
had any instances where hackers breached it.

changes "on the fly"...without having to stop and restart the service...kind
of like you can do to IIS, if you have it set to do it.
