You'd not need to re-wtire all the checks, jus tthe ones that have a
tendency to do this...

All checks that are internal and are using some DLL could eventualy hang IF
the DLL isn't using it's timeout's correctly. (already the first issue is
IF the dll knows what a timeout is).
One option is to re-write all checks as external checks, but personaly I
don't think that's a good way to go.

think you'd do better trying to
get that fixed, rather than requesting that SK
changes to work around your

As it is, you could always 'wrapper' an extra ISP
check around each of your

mail a couple of times a day (over a slow link). This does mean that we

I've been using Salive from before version 1.. It use to be able to fit on
a floppy disk. Dirk has done wonders adding to the program. You see almost
very day someone asking for this little program to do something new. It
seems (to me) that we want Salive to do everything and more. We have

mind you) that I am now in the habit of backing up the host file every 5
or so entries I add, since doing this I haven't had the problem! Sure as
if I stopped it would happen again though. I also keep backups of old
