latter could be excluded easely: Does anybody sucessfully use
ldapsam:trusted = yes? If so, could you point out any difference between
your confgiguration and mine?

I then reinstalled libiconv, following make distclean, but there was no
configure option to point to the gettext lib.

Is there a way to build an rpm for RH 7.2 from the src.rpm without cups?
We don't plan on upgrading this system for a while and cups for us is just
not worth all the work to get it up and running on a RH 7.2 box.

I currently have a problem : There is a domain administrators group
which I filled as admin users in smb.conf. They can do what they want
on files, that's fine.
Problem is the files they create are owned by root. Let's explain why
this is a problem for me :

The solution passes through the filesystem, setting the sticky bit on the
directory in question for some group that all those users belong.

I'm trying to sync. passwords in both ldap and passwd file at the same
time. FreeBSD 5.3. here's the syntax I'm using.
ldap password sync = Yes
unix password sync = Yes
passwd program = /usr/bin/passwd %u
this seems to work for ldap passwords just fine, for both unix and smb

OK - I did see the note that the LDAP schema had changed. However
because these sites are not using LDAP just the simple smbpasswd
file I did not expect this to cause a change for systems not using
LDAP. I will however make further checks ...
