account manually with a .ldif. Then, when the client join the domain,

I am not using slurp. I am using rsync to syncronize all data base.
I need to know if the BDC can write his local LDAP data base. If it is
OK, I think that the domain go to work well, regardless if the conection

Thanks for all replies regarding the subject. I took some time to debug the
problem, which resulted in some interesting insights. I started with a clean
printer driver repository, no ntforms, ntprinters and ntdrivers.tdb files.
Then I installed and assigned the drivers to the printers.

Setup a Dynamic DNS on the PDC. ( dhcp + dhcp )
and to test this before you go to work.

I'm a relative newcomer to samba, having a few problems with what I
thought would be a fairly straightforward migration from an NT4 to a
Samba PDC.

Should be able to be fixed with the share allowing only valid users. Try
this

guest ok = No

Yes, I'm using LDAP for a backend. Both the PDC and BDC are using the same LDAP
server, as my test environment only has one installed.
I've verified the the SIDs are the same, and they'll both authenticate the same
users from smbclient.

set a blank config directive for profiles so as not to use them:
