From my other post, you probably know I did something fooling with
"rpm -e --nodeps" and now my (other) system won't boot completely.
If it comes to it, what is the best method of reinstalling from the 6.1
install DVD that will preserve all the former configuration and data?

I've got it built. Are you looking for 32 or 64 bit? The 64 bit is a
dependency for some security errata that I'm hopeful to release tomorrow
(qemu-kvm is 64 bit only).

I just upgraded my old CentOS 5.7 x32 server to SL6.1 x64.
On my new SL 6.1 x64 server, I am able to play *.webm" files
with VLC with both video and audio.
On my old server, I can hear the audio, but get no video.
The error is :

I have noticed that writes to my USB Flash Drives
are a good 20 times slower than on my other CentOS
5.7 x32 machine. What use to take five minutes,
now takes over two hours. :-(
Anyone else notice this? And, did you come up with a
work around?

Question, how do I change my gdm default from gnome to Xfce?
