I wasn't going to give my thoughts on Tylers film. In full disclosure I thought
the movie was boring, plot-holed ladden, and unrealistic in some of its

That aside, I appreciate Tylers success, he's using his gifts. I don't think
the film sold on his name alone or just because he

What I do adore about Tyler Perry is his choice of current
underutilized black actors and actresses. A white auteur would have
cast this movie entirely differently. No way would Janet Jackson and
Jill Scott be in it. Also, he is providing roles and paychecks for
movie and sitcom stars from
I agree totally that he is opening the door for others, hopefully, it
won't be for one type of film. My bias is based on what I have seen
in the past. so, I will keep an open mind.

Damon Prepared To Take on 'Bourne' Identity Again
Matt Damon indicated Wednesday that he would make another Bourne sequel
if only to express his gratitude. In an interview in Tokyo with the
French news agency Agence France Presse, Damon said, Personally, the

i'm not as concerned about Perry's films as many of y'all are. I do understand
the fear that a certain type of film will become the standard: that Hollywood
white and black will say This is the formula and produce countless clones.

Because of talk on this list, I've checked out both shows. I like them
both. Sorry to hear about Reaper.
Question: have you seen Perry's House of Payne? If you have, what
do you think about it? Perry has complete creative control and a 130
episode order (enough to make mucho bank in syndication when that
time comes). If you are not familiar with it, check it out and see
what he did with that
The only question is what the story would be? Right after the movie's release,
the director said he was hesitant to do a fourth film, because Bourne was a
trilogy whose ultimate goal--Jason finding his identity and leaving the path as
an assassin--was reached. He was reluctant to turn Bourne
