In Charlotte there are 2 theaters that if you combine them -- you get
an art house theater. One is just a multiplex with a bar and lounge,
and the other is a two screener owned by Regal. Great thing about
Charlotte is that you can see Slumdog while your kids see Bolt in
the same place.
Keith, I live in Milwaukee (a great place on a great lake!)and my
fair city has two art house theaters: the Downer and the Oriental,
both owned by the Landmark Theater Company. The Oriental used to be a
glorious old-time movie palace with balconies and everything done up
in classic Mandarin

So do I. You know that the guy who owned it sold his stock to Chapter 11 Books
and became a roving assistant manager for that chain, moving between the
Peachtree Battle store where Oxford used to be (if that's even still there - a

Great place. My wife and i visit there at least two or three times a year. The
(Coca-Cola) Summer Film Series is really fun. I can't say enough how much I am
still irritated at how all commercial theatres got rid of cartoons and clever
shorts in favor of pre-movie ads. Drives me freaking nuts.

Burn Notice is a heavily recorded (and online viewed) show. It's how
I watch. I got put onto the show by someone who'd DVR'ed it.
