television and scanned the twenty-something movie channels
I subscribe to and, to my pleasant surprise, I came across a

Yes, Ted Raimi did play him. The character was always adept with languages,
also did a lot of translation work during communications with other ships. He
never could puzzle out why he had the gift until his telepathy began to
