There were 3 good arguments that Jesus

I think it comes down to the power of the story. Some stories aren't really
plausible such as BSG, but it was good stuff. They never really showed how
the engines work. (but they did show the guns) The story works because it
was built on intrigue and didn't depend on the science as a crutch.
I actually saw the movie and I thought it was actually good.

I think with everything or the rule of a remake is that you remake it based on
the times that we live in. You add or use characters that we know and hopefully
