Adhari,
There is no big diference between device and user TSCALs. To choose the
best for your environment just look on what is the minimum usage
expected between amout the devices the users are using and the amount
of users
For example:
If you have 10 users all working on multiple devices I w
You can.
SSGD has the possibility to assign applications to user and groups
based on LDAP users and groups.

This means that you can create a group in Active Directory and use
that group to assign a particular application. The same can

From the top of my head I know you need to make a small code change

Securing the SOAP connections and disable port 80 (or complete

more difficult (an extra certificate has to be installed).
To use the "Listen 127.0.0.1:80" option use the following st
Kevin,
Web Accelerators or Reverse Proxies do not work for AIP.
Currently the only way to speed up the AIP performance is by using

Kevin,
For the webtop-session any loadbalancer can be used if the
loadbalancer can and is set to at leas host-based persistency. I
mostly use session- or cookie-based.
Keep in mind that you use seperate addresses for the emulator

The release date of 4.4 is (un-)officially November 19th, 2007
That means it can be downloaded since today:

The documentation for this version can be found on the

The best thing to do is look at the documentation about the -SYNC-

To make sure all SGD processes are killed use the following command:

Sometimes when there is a configuration error somewhere I need to use

This is the documentation for SSGD 4.31, but this functionality is the
same as for SSGD 4.20.
Nothing special has to be done o

A reverse-proxy that can do URL rewrites might be an approach as well.
I dunno, most of these latter mechanisms seem convoluted to me, would
have to think more about this. Meanwhile, hope this helps,

In fact this is really easy :)
What I normally do is create one group in LDAP for users who may log on

The first can be configured by editing the config using:
