Well.
It looks like 360 is the way to go.
I tried a 360 and 420 club at the local range. Visually size
difference didn't seem to matter. They both looked OK to me.
I did move the ball up and also higher then I usually tee it. Hit
some nice straight ones but also faded both once in a
My driver swing speed runs from 90 to 100 mph depending on my physical state
and state of mind... I am definately a swinger, and load the shaft smoothly
when I'm hitting it well.

Thanks to all for your experiences with the 915cfe.
It really sounds like a hands down winner.
Now all I have to decide is whether to get the 360 or 420.
I'm hitting a 230cc (?) Raven Hawk now which I usually hit around
210-220 (sometimes with a fade to a small slice). I'll be going to a
Typically, the larger the clubhead, the more difficult it is to get it
square at impact. You will probably have to move the ball forward some in
your stance with the 420cc head.
I have both the 360 and 420 as demos built with ZT shafts and Wishon grips
and indeed, I tend to slice the 420 more
Tim,
What is your swing speed and are you more of a hitter or a swinger?
Thx,

I play this club when I'm not demoing something or trying out a new design

It's long.
It's forgiving.
It sets up really well.
I play the 10*, 0 offset model.

I have been playing the 11° 420 cc model, and it is the most forgiving,
straightest, longest head I've ever hit. I could never hit a head that was
over about 320 cc - until I hit this one. Very solid sound feel for such
a large head, and it doesn't set up or look nearly as big as most of the

Has anybody tried Wishon's 915CFE driver?
How does it compare to other large head drivers (eg 320cc and up)
Does the spring face only benefit strong hitters? My driver swing
speed is about 85-90mph
Golf club review says trampoline faces
Well Gramps, as one who canvassed this group for suggestions on a new
driver for a Senior, I can recommend this very head.
I ended up with a 43 edition as the cranky 'ole fella I made it for tends
to grip down on EVERY standard length club he wraps his hands around. The
head was a 360cc
I have both the 360 and the 420 models.
People that have hit them, like them. I have sold two just by letting peopleuse mine on the course.
They like the sound it makes and they like the accuracy.
I have not sold any 420 models as the people that tried it said it appeared to large for them. All

Yes, I do build this with the ZT shaft as well. I play the R-High flex (I hit the driver 260 carry and regularly roll up to 300+) and have used the R-MidLow and S-High with success on other customers as well.
I like the fact that I can tee this combination up
