Hi Dave:
I am (unfortunately) not a registered forum participant on the Shop Talk
forum. But very good answers to the subject. The Aldila One was a unique
shaft and the differences
I recently purchased several different Aldila one shafts from Aldila. Could I
raise the T/B ratio described in the 2009 Hireko Shaft fitting Addendum by tip
trimming the shaft an 1/8th to a 1/4 of an inch. I'm trying to get their 85
Stiff Low Launch from a T/B ratio of 1.6 to a 3.0 or

Anyone know where I can get an Aldila C-UL A/L flex shaft? A pull-out would be
OK if in good shape and long enough to make a matched 43 3W for a senior.
Thanks.

Gents,
I've just replaced a shaft on a Ben Hogan
driver.
The shaft I replaced was an Aldila NV-H 70 S made
by Aldila for Ben Hogan
The overall length of the driver was 41.5" and the
extracted shaft was 39".
I weighed the shaft and it was 60gms. I weighed the
broken it and it weighed 8 gms

Was this driver shortened by cutting the butt end?
Rebuild with the shaft of your choice (most likely no tip trimming
Yes you read it right these are clubs not shafts. I have a
customer that wants to sell his clubs and buy a customised set off me. This may
explain why Im keen to help him!!. He tells me
that these were left to him in a will. The marking on the clubs say Aldila USA. No other
markings at

If you find a vendor, please post them on the list, if not already posted. I've had
zero luck getting the 95 from vendors as well.

Love the idea of filament wound but have feedback
from my customers of the shafts feeling dead. I have talked to a couple
mfg.(sheet wrap) and the say it is due to the process
in the flex direction.

I notice that Aldila is now giving frequency specifications on many of their shafts.
Wondered is anyone has been in contact as to
their test setup? They only give a single frequency with no statement as to the
deviation or tolerance expected. With only an inch
or less of tip trim available
Check out shafts from Precision Composites. More trim variations very accurate CPM ratings with indication of + or - 4 CPM shown in each shafts color code. Excellent prices and filament wound with virtually no spline. Available from our host John at clubemaker-online.
