the higher loft
and shorter club length have helped straighten out my shots. Hope this

I had him go to a local super store and hit balls into a screen. Sure
enough, average carry distance with nearly every driver wasabout 155 yds,
Tom - How about a 13*, 14* or higher loft? I have been playing TW's
919CCG 13* all year and hitting the snot out of it, ~93-97 MPH swing.
Because I de-loft the club at impact, I could never hit a 9* higher than
about 50 feet. I kept moving up higher and higher in loft over the last
3-4 years. T

Try a shorter driver, say about 43.25-inches. This should get it
down to about a C-2 swing weight, which will give him a driver that is
approximately MOI matched to what his (probably) D-2 irons are. If
this works, cut his 3-wood down to about C-4 and his 5-wood down to about

Sounds like the same problem I have. My pro says I hit everything
with an over-the-top move that is made worse the longer the club gets.
Like you I have built many combos of drivers and shafts to try to cure the
problem with equipment rather than face the issue of a hit from the top or over
