Ahh the mouse...
If you can login to the command line you can find your mouse by doing:
cat /dev/mouse
then move the mouse and look for junk on the screen. If no love from
/dev/mouse, try /dev/psaux, or others you find in /etc/X11/XF86Config.
Is it a USB mouse?

To get your nic up, try, as root, "modprobe 3c509" and then check the
output from "/sbin/ifconfig"
It should look like this:
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:40:05:82:0F:D8
inet addr:192.168.120.2 Bcast:192.168.120.255

the error starting up Xwindows is that the mouse isn't
Things to know
What kind of nic? How is the IP assigned, DHCP? What kind of video card?

I was wrong in my thinking. I am having problems with my Xwindows and my
ethernet card. I am getting an error log created with my problem with
Xwindows but since RedHat isn't finding an ethernet card or at least an IP
