I've never had problems caused by rounded cables. Just group things in 4's (so each group has 2 grounds, 2 data), and you'll be just fine. They didn't really do that much at all for temperature when I was overclocking, but I had a fulltower case and plenty of room. What rounded cables really

Bad IDE cables will cause DMA errors. Folding IDE cables causes bad cables. From my personal experience, I was having problems with a drive that would stop working with DMA after extensive use. A replacement cable solved the problem. In my experience, you really don't have to worry about he
