I actually previously also looked into lead sheeting - very expensive!
Here (Victoria Australia) the letter I received said I was breaking 'the law'
by not accepting the meter and quoted the law No. blah blah I shall push
for solar & go off grid.

PT,
Did you use aluminum foil or something else? I've read that thick
multiple layers of aluminum foil will block the microwaves but I'm not sure.

I have been told that aluminum foil will not do the job. Aluminum actually
conducts electricity quite well. When I purchased this house it was already
installed. Where I lived before I was there when they came to change it out.
I had called the power company and told them I was sensitive to
Installation here appears to be legally imperative & immanent - I am urgently
researching going completely off grid but this takes time & this is my 4th
attempt at finding some one to come & quote & then be prepared to do the job! -
hoping the company will give me a quote that is manageable - ho
Yes. I had it done by my electrician and I can feel the difference in the room
closest to the meter.

That would be right, but then no meter, be it a TDS or an EC meter will give
accurate results. They 'estimate'.
I would not be too concerned about ppm being accurate, it doesn't have to be
100% accurate for 'in house' purposes. If you want 100% accuracy for
commercial purposes, you'll have to
I do this all of the time -- use manual + swap.

Ken,
Please ignore my previous message that there is no light when I set up the
machines. Embarrassing, but it was because my electrodes were not pushed in
well and eventually fell off the generator.
To make higher ppm, I put it on manual and swap modes. Is that ok, or
should it be in man
Hi Ken,
I brewed EIS yesterday and got 6ppm overnight for one gallon. This morning
I wanted to increase the ppm, washed the electrodes and set the turbo
generator to manual and dc modes. When I turned the machines on, there was
no green light. Even when I cupped my hand around the generator
