Deb, How long have you been doing this? Have you seen any deterioration of the vaporizer or its parts? I am thinking I might try it in my ultrasonic humidifier also, but don't know if it will harm the machine, or if it will oxidize other metals out of the little steel plate in the ultrasonic.

Heck, I'd just use CS with a little peroxide added. This is what I clean all surfaces in the kitchen with. I'm sure the isopropyl alcohol helps things dry faster though. But it does deteriorate some plastic materials, as I found out. Don't know if peroxide does the same thing. But I only add a
