Actually a mantra that can bypass the conscious mind is to say this is
going to work, whether I believe it or not. If you do that, then the
non-belief of the concious mind is short circuited, as the subconscious
is told it is going to work regardless.

It works pretty well for psychosomatic illness, but (IMO) not all illness is
psychosomatic. If it were, then it would be impossible for any substance to

affect our health without our permission on some level. We could simply

our way out of side-effects from bad habits, chemical
