I just bought a used HT 486. The default password for administrator
(admin) does not work, and the IVR menu doesn't let me do a factory
reset. Is it possible that I got a device that was locked down?
Does anyone have any suggestions?

I did actually try this test earlier on before I posted to the sipx list...
When I do add the IP as a domain alias I just get issues where the system
goes into an infinite loop and you can't call in, or out... If you want I

You have to set up a phonebook in Features > Phonebooks from the
superadmin interface first. You select a User Group of users to be
included in the phonebook, and a User Group of users who are allowed to
see the phone book.
