I don't want to just reinstalled and side step this problem but may have too. Primary DNS does not seem to be the problem for if it was i would not be able to access the admin runing FQDM of sipX1 box from another networked box, right? is it possible to reinstall bind running on the sipx1 box

Hi Kevin I ran the DNS advisor from a MS server box and this is what was said. What is my callserver-name? It looks like i should be running the sipx-dns on the sipx1 box. The dns-advisor statement is under-stated. Please advise. i guess it should look like this from the linux command line:

This can happen if your SIP domain does not resolve to the IP address of your box. Please do a DNS lookup (using 'dig' utility of instance) on your SIP domain and make sure that the answer you get is the IP of your box. If not then either change the DNS record or the IP of your box to resolve the

Thanks Scott and Dale Unless something changed on the inGate everything looks good. Primary public DNS is providing the right bindings.When attempting to reboot the sipX i now gives a list of DNS errors as if named on sipx box is failing or failed and is looking to the primary for bindings
