Primary DNS does not seem to be the problem for if it was i would not be able
to access the admin runing FQDM of sipX1 box from another networked box,
right? is it possible to reinstall bind running on the sipx1 box

Looks pretty dead to me...
They might push people into OCS and add some more functionality there
(in the long term) but they haven't been very successful with OCS
either.

I used for a long time a Siemens C470 ip. It is definitely targeted to
the home market, but very nice in phone usability and battery life. Is
not meant to be connected to a pbx. Moh with sipx does not work and I
had issues with blind transfers. It does not support BLF. Other phones
