Yes, good point (same point was made by Geoff). It means using a special
voice subdomain, but it does make life easier.
I prefer to use the main company domain because john@company.com looks
better than john@voice.company.com
but normally you don't use the domain name anyhow because most
The only place it bites you is with XMPP if you want your IM domain to be
the same as your SIP domain to be the same as your eMail domain

Hello Michael,
Ive done some testing with the workgroup panel. Unfortunately it does not give
the results i was hoping for.
When i have only 2 or 3 persons in the RLS, the do show up in the panel. It
however does not show me if someone is logged in or out. All persons have a
green phone icon.
Welcome to the world of Counterpath.
Bria is a product that has (almost) everything you could wish for,
but the more advanced features don't work reliable enough
and aren't documented properly (a lot of trail and error).

Unfortunately I was unable to resolve the fax issues when using the sipXecs

use t.38
This is the way we configure it as well. The parent domain is managed
by corporate DNS servers, which delegate a sub domain to the
sipXecs/openUC config server to manage.
We have other servers in the sipXecs domain though, which has made

IS this through a SIP trunk or a POTS line + gateway?
We have experienced this with audiocodes MP-XXX gateways. When we put a digit
grabber on the line ahead of the gateway we see the digits being doubled. The
source digit and an echo digit. When we remove the gateway from the equation
