Thanks for the quick reply. The RFC mentioned using IPSec. For our
potential implementation, we'd probably just put the sipX server in a
network segment that requires SSL VPN access.

command on the sipx box, the packet is a "SSLv2 Client Hello." The
ldapsearch command succeeds to the same ldap server that fails in
sipX. There doesn't seem to be any more config options for ldap, so
I'm not sure what else to try. Thanks for any insight.
