I found a link http://support.avaya.com/css/appmanager/public/support/Downloads/P0887/2.76/C2010100924312613209208#files which supposedly has newer firmware for the 1535. I still have these sitting on the shelf collecting dust since I've never found firmware which supports dns srv on them.

We played with some granstream gsx3000 I think they were and they seemed to work ok with sipx but the phones were very terrible quality. I'm looking for a low cost phone for everyday users, not business users, and came across the nortel 1535. Anyone try it, recommend it or something else which

I imagine they would love seeing 'little jimmy' even with some pixelation. Correct, not for business use. When it comes to business, that's one thing but for non business use, people are willing to put up with not so perfect. Problem is finding that low cost solution that makes it worthwhile.

 I pulled two 1535's off ebay for $80.  That was about $ 75 too much in  my opinion. I see some on there now.    Use a softphone/webcam or use the VVX if you want any kind of  dependability/quality.  As with most things in life, you get what you  pay for. That's a true saying but many people
