Well, this morning I woke up in a room alone. Better yet, I woke up in
my own bed. No one knocked on my door this morning to say, "Can I have my
per diem?" or "do you know where a breakfast place/music store/record
store is?" I didn't have to look at a map and calculate any distances.

If you haven't checked out the Sub Pop web page lately, you should.
There's lot of new information about new releases and the big summer
tour. Find out how you can get on the guest list for the summer tour by
hanging up posters in your town.

re-routed that whole tour so they could be there. The other two

Thanks to everyone who mailed me with ideas about where to play this
summer on the Sub Pop Summer Tour. For those of you who missed it, Six
Finger Satellite, Hardship Post and Zumpano are going out roughly July 7
through August 15. It looks like they will pay the following cities:
Halifax
There will be a three band summer tour package heading out around the
second week of July. The package will include Six Finger Satellite,
Zumpano and Hardship Post. We are planning on playing across Canada (no
way am I going to Thunder Bay though), down the west coast, up into the

Canada. However, I would still like for all of you in Halifax, Montreal,
Ottawa and Toronto to come see Zumpano (and me). I join the tour,

It didn't work out. They had a Moncton show sort of set up, but the club
owner pulled out at the last minute. The we thought we'd try Saint John
and Fredericton, but nothing panned out in either of those places
either. S, we'll be traveling from Halifax to Montreal.

Eric's Trip's case, they got some government grant money to go over.
Otherwise, the number of records they sold over there would not have
justified our expenditure. In jale's case, they had a top ten radio
single in the UK, so it made a lot of sense for them to play over there.

video for the Eric's Trip single "Viewmaster" which I think is lovely.
She also put out a ten inch record last year under the name "Sob Shop,"

FYI - This is known as the "mouthful of hot soup" style of singing, and I
don't know if I'd put Chris Cornell in there.
