Hi Hive Mind, Does anyone have any thoughts on removing the sticky bit on the /var/tmp directory and setting it to 777? Something about it doesn't sit quite right with me but I can't so far find any negative impact of doing so. The reason for this is that we have a large amount of data

Hi Steven, I've missed your first post but anyway... You could try a live CD disro like Knoppix which may find your sound card and auto load all the drivers. You could test it working. If it works then that is a start in that you know that you CAN get it working and the hardware is OK. Then
