Running RH7.3
Can anyone tell me what Nautilus does except eat resources? It seems
to be running in the background even though I never use the browser.
Thanks,

Hi all,
There's some new Nautilus screenshots up on the Eazel site:
http://nautilus.eazel.com/screenshots/aug-02-2000
Nautilus has some really great features, and some very bold ways of
displaying information about your files - even becoming the viewer (or
really, a container). Looks pretty
I read a funny review the other day and thought you guys might like it too

Is anyone using Nautilus?
What's it like, should I bother switching to it yet from gmc on my 366 at
home?

Hi All,
I found a way before that you could change the 'theme' of nautilus,
however I seem to have lost it. Could someone please refresh my memory
on how to do this??

Just looking at the screenshots, sometimes I can't
see a "taskbar" anywhere.
What's the alternative way of switching between
applications ? A hotkey to cycle between them ?

Sluggers,
I'm running enlightenment and fired up nautilus with the --no-desktop

G'day,
Is there any way to change the buttons (e.g. back, foward, up, stop,
etc) of the Nautilus?
Just to make sure we have a common idea about Nautilus, that is 'Window$

How can I change its buttons?
Thanks,
Phillip.

Is there a way to tell the Nautilus file manager to fsck disks before
mounting them?
Is there a way to get nautilus to insert "Check Volume" in the same menu
as it displays "Mount Volume" for unmounted disks?
This is in the context of external USB HDD enclosures.

Which version of Nautilus are you using? 1.0.6 supports this, which you
should have if you're using sid. It also supports mouseover music prev

There are nautilus-extra packages and stuff too - do an apt-cache search
nautilus and then check out the suggested packages as well.

Nautilus refuses to associate my TGA (scanned graphics) files with Gimp.
It tells me it has no viewer capable of opening them. I go through the
rigmarole of associating Gimp as a viewer and application and it still
thinks they are Lotus 1-2-3 files!

Nautilus will not let me change the association of TGA files through its GUI and
changes to mailcap etc do not have any effect.
