You must be very careful with this type of design!
I re-designed one of my skeeters to thermal from an "at rest" position on the ground
and it became a big problem. When I would lay it down at the end of a flight it would
take off again. Finally lost it though.

I have had no problems with the elevator system at all. I did replace the
pushrods with Carbon rods. I would recommend putting some cloth on the inside
of the fuselage on the bottom skin beneath the stab mount. Stock, it is glued
with a slurry that will crack with time. Be careful
