I bought a Hitec 555 in December, hooked it up and did a rough receiver
check. It seemed to work okay. Well, I put it in a foamy I was building
(EPP Red Herring). I routed a piece of wire within the foam just as long as
I could for the antenna. Snipped off the original antenna and soldered on

I agree. It was good 30 years ago (still have planes covered 30 years ago).
If find a film that is as good AND IS LESS EXPENSIVE, let us all know.

Hello,
Has anyone used a feather receiver in an electric zagi. If so, is there
interfearance with the speed controll and the radio. Also the flyer says it
has a range of 500 ft. that seems awfully limited. A freind of mine wants
to buy the new focus 3 FM radio for the zagi and it comes
I am setting up my brand spankin new Ki61 DAW foamie warbird and have the
ailerons set to channels one and 6. I have them enabled via flapperon and
want the ailerons to droop when I input up elevator. I have it setup now,
but whenever I input down elevator, the ailerons move upwards. Is this
Tom Clarkson asks:
Anyone have any ideas on how to make super light gap seal tape for the
underside of ailerons on handlaunch gliders?...
We have found that good gap seals can be very important in some flight
modes if you want to get the most out of your airfoil. Fortunately, simple

My apologies to the list for this long message, but Jeff's email address

What do you think of the dove?
I have the Dove I, not the Dove II. The Dove I looks like a scaled-down

Why worry about range with the Feather? Seems everybody agrees that the range
is sort of 500-700 ft. I have an FMA Fortress micro FM, 8 channels, mine is
on ch45. Weighs only 0.6 oz ( so maybe 9 gm more than the feather...will that
matter in practical terms?), and has been glitch and worry

So, it is alright to have the ailerons reflex a little when I input down elevator?
How much flapperon mix is appropriate for good turns, loops, etc? I think I have it
set to 20% mix into the elevator.
Thanks for the help.

A little reflex with down elevator is a good thing. The amount depends on the
plane and setup. My DAW Foam-51 was quite responsive to camber/reflex. With
just a *hint* of camber the inverted performance was uninspiring. But, with
just a little reflex it came alive during inverted flight!
