When I think of spoilerons, I think of ailerons (ie, at the TE) that move upward in unison to spoil wing lift. Move downward, they are flaperons. "spoilers", OTOH, are panels at or near mid-chord that act in unison to spoil lift. Keyword: _in_unison_, per my usual definition. I can see that
