OK. You guys wanted airfoil discussion and I'm in the mood for discussing,
seeing as its Friday night and I've had my quota of brown bottles for the
next couple of weeks (that's two - for those who don't know me).
I have flown both of these airfoils, the 7037 rather extensively and the

Of the many preferences claimed by pilots; it's amazing how many could
easily be thought of as a cult.

My MH32 Addiction doesn't do as well as my MH 32 Escape.
Weight?? Mebbe.
The response to droop camber is the same (vy little) but the Escape
would scoot when reflexed.
Go figure.
Anyone got an extra set of Escape wings they'd like to part with?

Just had to thank Mike Mayberry at Hitec. About a 2 weeks ago a friend
posted to the list about needing the control arm screw size for some Hitec
metal geared servos. He had misplaced/lost the screws while the servos were
laying around waiting to find a home in another airplane. Now that he had

Bill,
Being the owner of a plane (a Mantis) with two wings, one a 7037, the other
an MH32, both with the same planform, I think I have as good a comparison
basis as any.
The big difference is in ability to penetrate. The 7037 has a problem
penetrating when the windspeed exceeds 15 to 20 MPH. Bal
All,
I wanted to get some favorite websites for wind forecasting from the list

know there was a discussion about this in the last year, but since then I
had a disc drive go bad and lost much of this info.

I'd be interested in a discussion regarding the merits of the 7037 vs. the
MH32. They look quite different to me. Isn't this a real big choice?
To me the MH32 looks like more of a sloping foil while the 7037 looks like a
"floaty" thermaling foil.
I have to confess a personal bias. When I tried

Line drag and the break may contribute to excess current. We try to get
the retriever running just as soon as the model releases so we can get as
much of the line in while it is still in the air. Once it hits the
ground, it really slows down.
