THis is an oversimplification, unless you are comparing a Spirit to a foamie. A good wood trainer is much easier to fly than a foamie because it is much slower. I would rate them about even if you have an instructor. Learing process will generally be faster with wood, but you can be more agressive

Recently aquired one of these 60" F3F crunchies. Can you say "very thin wings"? I've read where some have sanded HS-80 type cases and gotten them to fit. Anyone have any other ideas? I have the AIL only wing (no flaps) and the control surfaces seem relatively small. Am I crazy in considering
